The McMaster University Academic Librarians’ Association was founded in February 2010 and is the certified bargaining agent for academic librarians at McMaster University.

As such, MUALA  is the official representative of academic librarians at McMaster on employment matters which include salary, pension and benefit negotiations and workplace grievances.
